To increase the adult and youth perception of harm of African American youth substance misuse of alcohol, marijuana, and prescription drugs and identify the associated risk/protective factors. Increase awareness of suicide and available community mental health prevention and treatment services among African American individuals and families in Maricopa County
The HEAAL Coalition began as a program of the Tanner Community Development Corperation. Within the last 10 years we have served a geographical area bounded by Camelback Road to the north, 48th Street to the east, South Mountain Range to the south, and 83rd Avenue to the west with enrichment opportunities for the African Diaspora.
